Main Meeting
Come along to our main meeting held on Wednesdays at 7.00 p.m. at the Gipsy Lane Campus. We meet in the Abercombie Building, room A101. The Aim of our meetings is to read the bible, sing, pray and encourage each other in our outreach to brookes students and just chill out. (map)
Prayer Meeting
Every Thursday 8:00 – 8:45 a.m. we meet in the chaplaincy, at the SU . Prayer is so important, as Christians we have a personal relationship with God through Jesus. It is an amazing privilege to be able to talk to God, to thank Him in response to His Word and to lift up our requests to Him. It is a great time of fellowship, where we pray for each other, the university and the weeks events. It is a great way to start the day, to be encouraged to be living and speaking for Jesus on campus. We also serve tea and coffee.
Engage
Meets at various days and times normally at Gypsy Lane . Engage is a team within the CU, who will be engaging the university campus with questionnaires. It involves a couple of hours, of going round in pairs asking people questions, engaging in conversation, advertising relevant CU events and gauging what the university is thinking to help us plan for future events. If you would like to be involved, click on the contact us link at the end of the menu bar.
Mission Week
Once a year we hold a whole week of events each with a talk. We hold all kinds of events from Quiz Nights, Acoustic Nights, Straight Talks, Question and Answer sessions and lots more. It is a great opportunity for a large amount of students and friends in the university to hear about Jesus. It is a great time to get involved and serve the CU. Listen up for details. In previous years the week goes by a different name: Hope Week 2008, FREE Week 2009. Below are some pictures from the week.
