Jonny Bradish
Describe your role in 140 words or less:
There are many elements that embody a christian leader, here are a few I personally strive to attain; Vision, communication, delegation, organisation, demonstration, self-sacrifice and determination. However, knowing how far I fall short of these, I must, of first importance, rely heavily on a personal devotion to God through the reading of his word and prayer, reminding myself of the Majesty of Him who saves. I also see it as my role to consistently and persistently lift the committee and members of the CU to the Lord in prayer for strength in their faith. On a practical level, I try to maintain God’s big picture, and our mission statement in any and every meeting, event or weekend away, ensuring our efforts and energy are outwardly looking, and in tune with these.
If you were an animal what animal would you be and why?
Probably an Orangutang, gotta love the ginge.
If you could’ve hung out with someone whose life is recorded in the Bible during their lifetime (Except Jesus) who would it be, and why?
Joshua. A life full of adventure yet total devotion to God. I recon we’d be buds, and I’d learn a lot from him.
What are you most excited about in the next year of CU and Uni life?
Seeing what God will do with willing members and a year saturated in prayer. It must be good! Placement starts for me this year too and I love football on tuesdays!!
A CU member can come to me… if you need a friend. If you have any great/burning/new ideas for Cu and you want to see it become reality. Or if you like to ask big questions and chat theology over a pint I’m keen!
